Shirley Chen-Weng arrived in the United States in 2002 with broken English and a dream. 11 Years later Shirley and her husband, Ping, are continuing to see growing success in their restaurant business.

Ping had been working in the restaurant business since 2004 so when the owners of Yang Ming decided to sell, Shirley resolved that since she was a great cook already, owning a restaurant would be perfect for her.

At Yang Ming they cook without MSG. Every dish and special sauce is made fresh daily. Shirley and her staff of 24 enjoy creating new and exciting dishes for their "second family" of loyal customers. Jason Weng, Shirley's brother, is the head chef and has his own special cooking methods and one of a kind sauces.

In the hot summer months, Shirley recommends a cucumber mint tea or a fresh mojito, available in a variety flavors, to refresh after a hard day's work in their popular lounge.
